Principles

The future of Indiana requires a strong foundation in education.  Education from kindergarten through college.  Yes, college is important.  It has changed the trajectory of my family.  However, not every student needs to attend college.  Therefore, we must align our school with the workforce needs of Indiana.  By providing our youth with opportunities to explore the ideas in which they are passionate.

The most basic government services are provided by our cities, towns, and counties.  We must provide them with the resources to provide for these services including first responders, general county services, and road maintenance.

I don't like paying taxes any more than the next person.  However, funding our governments and schools  is essential.  As a fiscal conservative I support a conservative balanced budget that provides for services at the lowest possible cost to our citizens.

I support providing the environment that our businesses can thrive.  Regulation is necessarily for the safety of our citizens.  However, the state legislature should sensible regulate and tax our businesses, and provide them with the needed resources to flourish.

I will listen before legislating, work to protect the quality and affordability of life.  Most importantly, I will put people over politics.
